The origins of Ma Boite à Moustique

Mosquito control begins

The story of Ma Boite à Moustique began during a hike in the heart of the Pyrenees, in 2020, with our respective families. Long-time friends, we shared an observation that had a significant impact on our lives.

Indeed, as we moved to Grenoble and Toulouse respectively, from the north of France, we were affected by the rapid spread of the tiger mosquito, which had a tangible impact on our family lives and put an end to the promise of beautiful moments shared outdoors.

We were losing the simple pleasure of living outdoors without finding an effective, aesthetic and durable solution on the market.

The search for an anti-mosquito solution

It was from this realization that our determination to find a solution to this problem by combining our respective skills was born.

We wanted to take advantage of our experience in industry and development within major French companies to respond to this major public health challenge.

Ma Boite à Moustique's mission

This is how the Ma Boite à Moustique adventure began almost 4 years ago, with the aim of enabling as many people as possible to enjoy the outdoors while protecting themselves in the long term from invasive species linked to climate change.

More than a slogan, it's our raison d'être.

We are fully committed to this mission, with the aim of providing an efficient, aesthetic and eco-responsible solution.

Collaboration with French partners

What binds us together even more is the way we do it and the way we undertake it.

For example, we take social and environmental impact into account at every stage of the production process. We offer a product made entirely in France, and we are fortunate to be able to rely on a rehabilitation center for the wiring of each of our products.

Finally, to guarantee the highest level of advice and service to our end customers, we can count on the quality of Ma Boite à Moustique's network of approved installer partners, already present in 44 départements.

An innovative solution designed in partnership with research centers

Our cutting-edge solution is the fruit of collaboration between our engineers and a network of excellence.

Numerous field tests have been carried out in France since 2021 to improve the system's performance.

Intelligent patented technology

Our trap features patent-pending technology based on connected sensors and an electronic board inserted in the device.

It automatically regulates CO₂ diffusion according to weather conditions, to offer the best efficiency for the lowest carbon impact.

Biosourced CO2 from methanization

Thanks to our partnership with Gaz de Ferme in the Pyrenees, we offer our customers refills of biosourced CO₂ produced by agricultural methanization.

This natural process transforms organic waste into biomethane.

Biomethane has the same characteristics as natural gas, with the added advantage of being 100% renewable.

A Bluetooth-connected solution

Our Bluetooth-connected system lets you link the mosquito trap to a mobile app to switch to manual mode or monitor consumable levels.

This technology makes using our devices both simple and effective.

A collaboration with the Passiflore rehabilitation workshop

Our commitment includes a human dimension deeply rooted in our values. That's why we work with a 10-strong team from the Passiflore reintegration workshop to wire our devices.

Those who are ready to take the next step into the world of work often find their place in our own workshops. We see this collaboration as a real strength that gives meaning to our work.

Now an employee of the company, I carry out the complete assembly and have been trained to program the electronic boards and carry out the more complex quality controls. From receiving the raw materials to shipping the traps, I make the whole product and I'm fully part of the adventure."

Our history

Discover the history of Ma Boite à Moustique!

2020

An idea germinates: to develop an innovative mosquito trap. The creation of a first prototype lays the foundations for a promising adventure.

2021

Ma Boite à Moustique is officially founded. The trap is tested for effectiveness in an independent public laboratory. At the same time, a series of 30 experimental installations is launched to fine-tune the technology to users' needs.

2022

Ma Boite à Moustique inaugurates its factory and completes the first 100 installations of the Garden model. In October, the company's first round of financing marks a decisive step in its growth.

2023

A new chapter opens with the launch of the Urban range, specially designed to meet the needs of local authorities. This is also a year of sales acceleration, with over 1,000 installations and a growing network of distributor-installers.
